Writerly Wednesday ~ Read any GREAT books lately??

Hi, all!  No tips, today.  But, I'm asking for tips from you:  Have you read any particularly GREAT books, lately??  If you're anything like me ~ your TBR list is already toppling over and you feel a strong need to cover your eyes when you look at it...

There are just SOOO many wonderful stories out there, waiting to be discovered!  But, do you have any suggestions that might need to jump to the top of my mounting TBR list?

As it stands, Aprilynne Pike's "Wings" series is the next set for me.

What about you?  What are you reading?

Whatever the story may be, I hope you enjoy it!!  I know I'm looking forward to mine.  Happy Writerly Wednesday, my friends! :)

I guess I'm on a bit of a zombie tick.
I finished reading Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Maberry, and that was amazing. And right now I'm reading Feed by Mira Grant, also turning out to be a great read!

I just finished Talli Roland's new book, Watching Willow Watts.

A fun read. If you're looking for a great chick lit book this is a must.

Currently reading Unexpected Magic by Diana Wynne Jones; but one of the books I would really recommend that I read recently is Black Hole Sun by David Macinnis Gill. Awesome book, that. :)

I've got Wings, and I need to pick up book 2. I've got a coworker into the series now. =D I tend to do that to her a lot.

I read Brodi Ashton's ARC of Everneath. It was one of those hauntingly wonderful books, like a yummy dessert whose taste lingers.

I just finished reading two books in the past couple weeks. The first Brandon Sanderson's "The Way of Kings." Fabulous. I'm still thinking on it. Incredibly deep and powerful. The next book I finished was James Dashner's "The Maze Runner." I couldn't stop reading this one and I'm on to the next one trying to drag it out so that I can jump right on "Death Cure" when it comes out in less than a month! BTW James Dashner will be doing a signing at The Kings English on October 11th!!! Happy reading to all!

There are a couple to come to mind right away. The first is simply called Juliet by Anne Fortier. It's about a curse put on Romeo and Juliet that continues through their respective families to present day. It takes place in Italy for the most part and I think it's very well written. I believe it's Fortier's first novel but I will definitely continue to look for more work from her.

The others I might recommend would be Poison Study, Magic Study, and Fire Study, all by Maria V. Snyder. I wouldn't say they were phenomenal literary classics, but I thought the characters were likable and the plot was interesting.

I've read some great books this year, but lately the stand-out was "Flash Burnout" by L.K. Madigan. Loved it.
