:) Today,
Michael at In Time... is hosting the
"What I did on My Summer Vacation Blogfest"!!!!
Well, those of you who've been around for a few of my recent Find the Story Friday posts will already know about my trip to Canada. Yep - that was the family vacation this year. And I'll have to admit...I sort of make a bee-line for the local cuisine when I go on vacation:
|
Poutine!!! |
|
Ok...not exactly "local" but the schnitzel was divine!! |
|
Sweets are a must...it's inevitable |
And you simply can't go into the National Parks of Canada and not see some of the local wildlife:
|
Ahhh, look at all the babies!!!! :)
|
And if you're ever in Banff...you ABSOLUTELY MUST GO to the Banff Springs (haunted) Hotel! So cool:
|
My niece (left) and daughter (right) - gorgeous girls!! |
And, of course, the scenery all around is just absolutely gorgeous:
|
The mysterious Hoo Doos... |
|
Brrrrrrr.... |
I usually throw a few more little trips into my summer plans - hit a few farmer's markets, festivals, there's the 4th of July with friends and family, etc. There's always something!! And I try to go somewhere different, some place I've never been before, each and every year. Southern food is calling my name lately...does anyone know of a nice place to stay down South???
What did you do on your summer vacation?
Happy Friday, all!

Aesome photos! That one looks like the inside of a castle.
I went to Banff, but I was too young to really remember it. Love your photos! And as for some place in the South--I'd say New Orleans or Charleston, South Carolina. Both beautiful cities. Also, Savannah. Ok, I could keep going. :)
Beautiful pics!!!!!!! Sounds like a great trip!!!! I love going anywhere that i haven't been before!!
You should go to the Keys... Key West to be specific. But then if you're wanting real southern cuisine, maybe you better ask someone else. Great pics!
I could lost taking photos for days...
Great photos! :) I especially like the one of the rainbow.
Great photos! I'd love to take a haunted tour too.
Looks like we both spent our vacations in Canada. I went to the French side. And yes, lattes and French pastries are a definite must.
Were you on the western side. It looks that way and I know you live in Utah. Right?
Love the rainbow shot.
As far as the south, how far south did you want to go. I know several gorgeous places. Shoot me an email and I will let you know.
Thanks for participating in the blogfest!
OH man those are absolutly beautiful pictures!
I really want to go to Banff someday. I missed an opportunity once and it was a mistake!
That last snowy mountain photo is gorgeous!
PS. what is poutine? I can't even tell if it's sweet or savoury!
Awesome pics. I'm biased but I'd say Charleston, SC. Haven't been there yet (pretty pathetic as it's only a four hour drive from my home), but I keep hearing their haunted town tour including The Battery is great! And southern food is great in these parts.

OMG, the poutine looks amazing. Your pictures are beautiful, especially of the mountains.
Beautiful pictures! I've never been to Western Canada, but the eastern part, where I'm from, is equally beautiful!
