Find the Story Friday!! It's a circle! No, it's a rock. No, it's a...???

Happy Find-the-Story Friday, y'all!  :)  I need your help.  I've picked out a cool pic to inspire you today.  At least, I hope it inspires you!  It's a little bit of a riddle.  And I'd explain it to you better, except that I can't tell you what the picture is.  Why?  Because I'd like you to guess.

But, please don't think I'm initiating a brain-drain on you for nothing!  The first person to correctly guess what/where the picture is will get two extra entries into my GIVEAWAY.  (which ends tomorrow, midnight, btw.  Winner picked on Sunday - woo hoo!!  Hurry - enter "here".)  Ready?

Want a clue?  This may or may not give it away.  And this is actually why I need your help.  This image didn't inspire a new story, but an old one for me.  It's a key/button/somethingorother to open a portal into a different dimension.  A dimension where Merlin (played by Sean Connery) has been trapped for centuries by the evil Morgan le Fay.  A "modern-day" tourist activates said button and finds herself in an ancient cavern with the man of magic himself.  It's a show I saw on tv a gazillion years ago and I CANNOT for the life of me remember the title of it.  Does this ring a bell to anyone?  Anyone?

If not, that's ok.  It will remain a nagging half memory in my brain, but it's cool.  Really!  :)  Bonus entries require a correct guess of the picture only.

And hopefully, the picture inspires a story idea for you to boot.  May the best guess win!

(p.s. check out another great Giveaway at newly followed Leisha Maw's blog!)

A button? Cool!

My official guess it this is Merlin's contact lense. He dropped it in some sulfur snow, which will react to his unique DNA and open the portal only when The One, played by Keanu Reeves, touches it.

Thanks for blurbing about my blog.

I'll guess that it's a portion of the Blarney Stone in Ireland, and pressing it will get you carried away by drunken leprechauns :)

Or from Stonehenge!

It looks like one of those old blasting holes in rock that they stoppered up. Pretty unromantic of me, huh?

I can't remember that movie at all!

hi miss donea! for sure i dont know what that movie is youre trying to think of. for that picture my brother said its a petroglyph. i said yikes! what that! he said its a old drawing in a rock and that one looks like it was in the sea cause of coral looking stuff and a little crab or squid. he said you sometimes could see them when the tide is pretty low. even if hes wrong i got something new learned and i could think of a neat sea story with that rock.

I have no idea what the thingie is, but if no one else had the answer, try to go to imbd.com or another such site that lists everything an actor/actress has played in. Look up Sean Connery and you should find it!

Leisha - love your idea! That's the most unique, certainly. :)

But, Jess got it right! The image indeed is something I found on one of the monument rocks at Stonehenge. Which, is a great lead in to Abby's comment about the ancient aliens. Wouldn't it be cool? There's so much mystery surrounding Stonehenge already.

Hmmm...novel idea? Aliens and Stonehenge...hmmm... :)
