Find the Story Friday! A great place for a picnic...

Let's just give it to you:

A picnic in the country - between lovers, friends, families, new acquaintances - a checkered quilt spread out, a wicker basket full of goodies, some wine or sparkling cider chilling nearby.  It's a warm day in early September, but you keep a striped umbrella close...just in case.  The air mingles scents of damp grass and history.

Tell me, please - what brings your characters, whoever they may be, to this place on this day?

Happy Friday, everyone ~ :)

And if you haven't already, don't forget to get in on my 100+ follower celebration.  Click HERE.  You've got until Sunday, 2/13.  Winners will be announced on Monday, 2/14.  Best of luck!

If my characters ended up on a picnic it would mean they were really lost!

and if my characters ended up on a picnic it would mean that something hot and naughty would happen in the nature! :)

What a beautiful rolling countryside! My characters would be looking for hobbit holes :)

My character would be in an alternate universe if she were there looking for a way back- like in the Star Trek episode where they beam down to the seemingly perfect planet with the spores...

Gorgeous! My characters would be trying to find the entrance to some sort of faery hangout.

SO pretty. I can envision my characters somewhere like this. My favorite landscape is in Ireland along the Dingle Penninsula. It's absolutely gorgeous. This landscape kinda reminds me of that.

Hm... usually it would be man they've left the city (most my stories are based in cities) and are full of allergies and insect-phobias! :)
